PABELLÓN DE ARTEAGA, Ags. – During the inauguration of the Technological Institute of Pabellón de Arteaga Thursday, President Felipe Calderón talked about security in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, and said that it is a problem that demands cooperation from the government and society.
Calderón said that the federal government will propose a strategy that aims at providing educational, job, recreational and coexistence opportunities as well as the prevention and treatment of addictions.
He also said that it is fundamental to address all issues, not only criminal prosecution, but also the restoration of society through social programs and the rescue of public areas.
The government, he said, has responded decisively and with solidarity to calls for help from municipal and state authorities. “We responded quickly, we always have and always will, without hesitation or limitations because our main purpose is to help Juárez’s residents to restore tranquility and peace.”
Calderón also emphasized that his administration will make all the necessary decisions so that the northern border city recovers the reputation “it deserves as a thriving and working city.”
