Mexico City — Mexican archaeologist Eduardo Matos Moctezuma said Sunday that the Templo Mayor Museum in Mexico City’s downtown will be home to the Moctezuma exhibition, which is returning from London’s British Museum, and the Tlaltecuhtli monolith, dedicated to the Mexica deity of the Earth.
In addition, the National Anthropology Museum will create an exhibition on pre-Hispanic civilizations that resided in Monte Albán, Palenque, Tajín, Teotihuacan, Tenochtitlan and Tlatelolc. This exhibit will emphasize the civilizations’ development in different ecological zones, Moctezuma said.
